Enhance your smile – gently, discreetly, & cost-effectively

Composite bonding allows our dentists to make changes to the appearance of less attractive teeth. By adding thin layers of the composite resin and shaping it into position, they can repair chipped or misshapen teeth, as well as improve colouration and slight gapping issues.

In addition to composite “edge” bonding, we offer composite veneers, which are a more cost-effective alternative to porcelain veneers.

We are sure that you will be delighted with our superb results as well as our competitive composite bonding costs.

Composite bonding FAQs

How long does composite bonding last?
Composite bonding can typically be expected to last for around five to 10 years. However, this depends on the patient practising a high standard of oral care and maintenance. Other factors potentially impacting on this longevity include the underlying strength and health of the teeth in question, the number of teeth involved, and the patient’s eating and drinking habits.
What are the negatives of composite bonding?

Although composite bonding provides durable results, certain alternatives – such as dental veneers or crowns – offer greater resilience.

The resin material used for composite bonding can also be susceptible to chipping or staining over time. Such deterioration may occur more quickly if the patient consumes hard foods or beverages known to cause stains, such as tea, coffee, or wine.

Who cannot have composite bonding?

Composite bonding will not be an appropriate treatment for everyone. The procedure may be especially unsuitable for people who have severe dental issues, such as significant tooth decay, large cavities, and/or major chips.

Problems that can compromise the integrity and strength of the tooth may need to be addressed with more substantial treatments, such as crowns.

Can you go back to natural teeth after composite bonding?

Composite bonding differs from veneers or crowns in that it does not require the removal of tooth enamel. This means the original natural tooth can be preserved, unchanged, under the composite resin material.

You can therefore have your teeth restored to their original state at a later date.

Can teeth rot under composite bonding?

In a word: yes. So, it is hugely important after this treatment to continue looking after your teeth well. You should still regularly brush and floss your teeth, while avoiding acidic foods, a high-sugar diet, smoking, and excessive alcohol consumption.
