Teeth veneers typically last for around 10 to 15 years. However, the exact longevity will depend on various factors such as the type of veneers, how well they are looked after, and the habits of the wearer, such as a tendency to grind their teeth.
The preparation process for dental veneers often involves the removal of a small layer of enamel from the front of the teeth. This slightly decreases the size of the teeth, but not usually to a noticeable degree. It is, however, crucial to look after your teeth effectively following a dental veneer treatment, to reduce the risk of decay.
The main difference between these two types of teeth veneers is the material they are made from. Composite veneers are made from a tooth-coloured composite resin. Meanwhile, porcelain veneers use a high-quality porcelain material that is durable and resistant to stains.
The procedure for SmileFast composite veneers involves a digital scan or impressions and photographs being taken of the patient’s teeth. This information is then used to create their new smile.
The patient’s new “trial” smile can then be physically placed over their existing teeth. Following approval by the patient, their new smile can be fitted in a single appointment.
